WALKER ANIMAL SHELTER HIRING
Full-time position, with benefits available in our animal shelter for a Kennel Technician. This position serves the frontline in providing a clean and healthy environment for the animals during their time at the shelter. The Kennel Technician maintains clean kennels, cages, bedding (and other laundry), toys and other equipment. The Kennel Technician will also assist in providing animals enrichment and exercise. Help where needed in office and on field call outs.
You must be able to:
*Be able to lift over 55 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
*Stand and move for hours at a time.
*Endure physical labor in harsh weather conditions
*Work weekends and several holidays
*You must be 21 years of age (to drive City vehicle), have reliable transportation and a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
